Directions: The Fort Washington Outlet is located just north of Philadelphia at the intersection of Route 309 and the PA Turnpike. Exit the Turnpike or Route 309 at the Fort Washington exit - both put you onto Pennsylvania Ave. Make a right at the first light onto Commerce Drive. [185 Commerce Drive is just up the street!] The Outlet is located at the rear of the building.

In 2000, a new chapter began at Harvest Book Company- the opening of our first outlet. We realized we needed more warehouse space, and with the new space came a great opportunity - to open our doors to the Delaware Valley for its book needs. At the Outlet we offer all the books we receive but for one reason or another cannot add to our 140,000+ volume archive of quality used books. A small store was just the thing to make these books available to area book lovers. There are at least 10,000 titles - for $2 or less- for you to browse and, of course, we'll be happy to search our 140,000+ volume archive for any title you desire.
Books Bought
If you have books you would like to sell, you can bring them to one of our Outlets and we'll look them over. If we can use them, we'll offer you cash or Outlet credit. We know books and we'll offer you a good price for your good books. For larger collections call our book buyer at 215.619.0307 to arrange a house call. Loading Dock Sale
Every month we try to make room for new inventory by holding our popular Loading Dock Sales at our Fort Washington location. With thousands of books selling for $1 or less, our Loading Dock Sales are truly a bibliophile's bacchanalia. All of the hardbacks on the dock will sell for $1 and the paperbacks for fifty cents. A bag sale begins at 2 PM: $5 per bag of books. We look forward to seeing you at our next Loading Dock Sale.
Just Shelved
At the Harvest Book Outlets, we have a unique system for keeping our selection fresh. Every Saturday, we replace all fifty boxes of mostly non-fiction books on our tables. As with our sales, many of you have been showing up early to get first choice. Now every Saturday is like a big sale. We work hard to find the best books for you and offer them at prices that no one can pass up: $2 for hardbacks and paperbacks, $1 for children’s books. As a reminder, we do maintain standing sections of Fiction, Romance, Mystery, Classics, Cooking and Children’s. We stock these sections almost daily. So whenever you visit us, whether it’s Saturday or during the week, we’ll have lots of new choices for you to consider.
